Numerically,
milk efficiency (milk N/N absorption) increased
with Leucaena and Madras thorn foliages substitution;
however, the values were not significantly different
(p > 0.05) from that of the control treatment. Similarly,
P intake, faeces and milk P and P absorption and
retention were not affected by the treatment diets,
except that the urine P and proportion of urine P/
absorption P of goats fed the control diet were higher
(p < 0.05) than that of those fed Leucaena and Madras
thorn foliage diets.
