We would like to announce you that the company would like to adjust the annual leave calculation for some group of our staffs to make be under the same standard as a calendar year and to be compliant with Thai Labor Law and Work Regulations.
An Employee is entitled to take an annual leave as follows; (Effective Date : August 27, 2015).
- The Employee at the all level shall be entitled to an annual leave 6 workdays in the first year.
- Annual Leave is calculated on a calendar year, i.e. January to December. For employment of less than one (1) full year, annual leave will be calculated on a prorate basis.
- One (1) more workday after one (1) years’ service in all position (maximum annual leave is fifteen (15) workdays).
- The Probationary Employee shall not be entitled to take annual leave, after probation period employee would be entitle to take annual leave as a prorate basis.
i.e. If an employee join the company 1 Mar 2015, he/she would be entitled to the 5 days of annual leave for Year 01 (1 Mar – 31 December 2015) after probation period in July 2015 and 7 days for year 02 (Jan-Dec 2016)
(Please note that HR will provide the number of annual leaves individually, please contact HR Department if any questions).
- The employee is encouraged to exercise her/his right to take annual leave within December 31 of each year. If an employee does not use all of annual leave within the year, the company will compensate unused annual leave by daily basis at the end of the year as mentioned in Work Regulations.
Essentially, the request of annual leave should be conformable with each job assignment and needs to be approved by superior in advance before sending to HR department.
