Dear Friends and Colleagues,
On behalf of the Conference Programme Committee, we are honoured to invite you to
the 4th Singapore Rehabilitation Conference held in conjunction with the 7th ASEAN
Rehabilitation Medicine Association (ARMA) Conference and RehabTech Asia 2015.
With the theme angled “Towards Enablement and Empowerment - Innovative Care
Models for Asia”, the Conference will take place from 26 to 27 March 2015, at Max Atria
@ Singapore EXPO Convention & Exhibition Centre. The Conference has been designed
to provide a rich interprofessional educational environment that will encourage research
and further collaborative clinical practice. The Conference Committee has put together a
stimulating scientific programme that features a combination of plenary lectures, scientific
paper presentations and workshops. We have garnered both internationally and locally
renowned experts to share their wealth of experience in providing the type of care that
seeks to enable and empower our patients.
The Conference will offer a focal point for delegates to examine the latest developments
within various fields of physical medicine and rehabilitation that looks into optimising
the function and care delivered to our patients, across a variety of settings from the acute
hospital into the community. It also aims to look at innovative means of providing care
and exploring ways of integrating technology in rehabilitation. We are therefore confident
that this Conference will contribute to the nurturing of a holistic, integrated and supportive
rehabilitation environment in Asia.
Participants can also look forward to a dedicated track-section by ARMA representatives
on developments in rehabilitation approaches and community-based rehabilitation care in
their respective countries. In addition, the Rehab Tech Asia 2015 exhibition spanning 3 days
from 26 to 28 March 2015 will offer a wonderful showcase of the wide variety of options in
integrated care, assistive technology and rehabilitation engineering.
Other exciting events, in conjunction with the Conference, include the Neurorehabilitation
Medicine & Innovation Congress 2015 and the RESNA Asia Pacific Conference 2015. Both
these conferences will be held at the Singapore EXPO Convention and Exhibition Centre on
the 28 March 2015 and provide a great follow through, examining the continuum of care for
people with disabilities and incorporation of technology with ageing.
We would also like to invite you to spend some time and explore our vibrant city as well as
to indulge in the vast culinary and leisure options that Singapore has to offer.
We look forward to seeing you at the 4th Singapore Rehabilitation Conference!
