Uncontrolled discharge of industrial effluents in surface waters leads to the mortality of aquatic animals, especially fish. It is interesting to note that the body decomposing of the same animals causes the conversion of the water bacteria activity from aerobic to anaerobic conditions (Parvini et al., 2012).The activity of anaerobic bacteria is combined with the emergence of unpleasant odor so CH4 has a stench smell and is flammable, while SH2 is malodorous and smells like rotten eggs.
