Offshore may use manually movable scaffold Per TSP-41 J however, it shall only be used after the risk assessment has determined the work plan is safe and comply with the paragraph requirements of USA OSHA CFR 1910.29.
Including, it will be allowed only personnel that have been trained and/or have been approved as competent by the responsible CTEP supervisor are permitted to erect, dismantle, inspect and use movable scaffolding. Additionally, those must meet the MSW Process Appendix O (Work at Height) as well.
If all the requirements have been met then they can process.
Per your email below; it seems to me that there may have some deviation from the standard requirement in our operation? Did they have any approval or official document as I mention above to support for ” Some department use already.” ?
Best regards,
Nipa
