The basic operation of the indirect solar dryer is the followingone: exposed to solar radiations, the solar air collector convertsinto heat a portion of radiant energy received on its surface. Theair crossing this solar collector then receives a portion of thisenergy by convective heat exchange. This air, with better dryingproperties, circulates from the solar air collector to the drying chamber containing trays on which are laid the cocoa bean for drying. Two fans regulate the airflow.
