Abstract— This paper presents a CPW-fed compact
inverted L shaped microstrip antenna for wireless
applications. The proposed antenna provides an omni
directional radiation pattern and it utilizes the concept of
coplanar wave guide (CPW). The main motive is to
simplify the structure and to reduce the overall size of the
antenna. This is done by loading the inverted L-strip over
the conventional monopole patch antenna which in turn
reduces the height of the antenna. This design is done to
effectively save the space around the radiator. The
simulated result shows that this antenna achieves constant
gain reduced return loss and good directivity
