Integrity
For those with maturity, moral and religious principles serve as guides and motivators for their behaviour. Values are accepted because of their intrinsic worth and attraction and not because of fear of punishment, or group pressure. There is a consistency between values and behaviour, between speech and deeds. The word given is kept and the commitment made is honoured. Therefore, the mature person is basically reliable and responsible. Such a person is able to take decisions for his or her total commitment and for concrete day-to-day choices. Their inner core of integrity makes them a strong person who is quietly confident in who one is and in what one wants to achieve.
