for DNA–DNA hybridization of strains MUSC 135T and
MUSC 137 and Streptomyces cinereospinus NBRC 15397T,
Streptomyces mexicanus NBRC 100915T and Streptomyces
coeruleofuscus NBRC 12757T was carried out by the Identification
Service of the DSMZ (Braunschweig, Germany)
following the protocol of Cashion et al. (1977). DNA–DNA
hybridization was carried out as described by De Ley et al.
(1970) under consideration of the modifications described
by Huss et al. (1983). The DNA G+C content of strain
MUSC 135T was determined by HPLC (Mesbah et al., 1989).
