Results of haemodynamic studies revealed that in the trypanosome-affected animals erythrocytopenia, leucocytosis, neutrophilia, lymhocytopenia, reduction in packed cell volume, haemoglobin content characterise the haemogram in early stages. Moreover the anaemia was characterised as microcytic and hypochromic. It was also observed that haematoietic system did not respond appreciably to the treatment up to 72 hours due to very short course of observations.
