Your daughter in Bangkok. How very far away she is. Do you call every week? Do you visit once each month? Does she come home for holidays? Do you feel a hole in your heart? I think of you and your family often.
winter is just around the corner. So each day that is warm is a blessing. I do enjoy those last warm days of fall. The past week was cold enough to freeze my summer vegtable garden. I'm still enjoying the tomatoes picked and brought into the house. So nice to eat food grown in my own yard. The carrots are safe in the garden . They don't mind being out there under the snow all winter. I go out shoveling the snow away from a path to the carrots. Under the snow, under protection of a leaf covering the carrots are fresh and cold. I bring into the house just enough carrots for a week or so. The rest sleep comfortable out there. They sleep untill I need more in the house.
My little out door house has filled my free time with fun jobs. Built a bunk on which I can take a mid afternoon nap. A wood stove out there makes a warm interior and new things are built each month. I enjoy carpentering using lumber I have salvaged from discarded wooden pallets. Free for those of us willing to remove many nails and find another use for the lumber.
I find fire wood along the roads out here in the country. Dead tree limbs that have fallen out of road side trees are free to take home and burn in my little cabin's stove.
My friend Al who plays the banjo helps me with Saturday morning Farmers Market in Kalamazoo. The out door market will be finished end of November... Cold weather closses it. But just across the street is a Winter Market. Inside is warm and each
saterday during those cold winter months , I play button accordion for tips.. No nealy as much money each Satruday but the people contacts are the same. I enjoy having ''saturday food shoppers all around me.......
My winter plans are again changing. I was planning on a two months visit to Japan. But now I've changed my mind. I can tolerated empty winter days now that I can visit winter farmers market one moring each week. And maybe the new cabin out behind my house will offer a place to enjoy puppet making again. Who knows....
Thanks for the letter. I wonder often about Yada. Do make a visit to the Lampang beauty shop and ask about her.
Then suprise me with an email about what she is doing. I"m sure the beauty shop close to the Larning Center will know about her if she is no longer working in Lampang........
Happy days and good health to you and the family regards robert
