Location : Phan District
It was build by a Leader of Phukhamyao (now Phayao province) called Ngam Muang in the year 1296 AD. This leader was told to have gone up the Hill of Sang Kham (Which means golden bamboo) or Doi Jomvae to look at this domain. He then ordered his people to build a pagoda at that location. The legend says that inside the pagoda is a relic of the Lord Buddha.
