Whenever there arises any sense desire in the mind, the practitioner knows it. Likewise, whenever there are arises of anger, dullness, worry and doubt, he also knows that there is such hindrance in the mind. At the stage of fullest development of mind, the unwholesome states desire, ill-will, dullness and inertia, restlessness and doubt (Five Hindrances) are completely removed from the mind leaving only a sense of equanimity, awareness and tranquility.
