Result from implementing early alarm system (Early Warning System: EWS) guidelines is one element of the regulatory measures, that means, OIC use EWS as an essential tool in monitoring and analyzing financial status and financial stability of insurance companies, by setting benchmark for important financial ratio, analyzing causes and effects which might give an impact to company fund in both short run and long run.
To create efficient EWS, as measures for financial stability analysis, supervision measures, and to be consistent with OIC announcement regarding asset valuation and debt of non-life insurance company 2011, and OIC announcement for determination & category of capital fund, including criteria, methods, and conditions for capital fund calculation 2011, EWS was then reviewed and adjusted, including brainstorming ideas from corporate sectors in order to create appropriateness in both supervision and insurance industry environment.
