showed better results. This shows that the incorporation of carbohydrate in feed relatively gives a
better growth in common carps as compared to animal proteins. The findings by Keshavnath et al.
(2002) on common carps have shown that these animals are capable of utilizing high level of dietary
carbohydrates, especially when the protein content in the diet is low, and this further supports the
findings obtained in the present study
