While touch screens have been inaccessible to blind users because interaction techniques require users to visually navigate objects on a screen, researchers [5, 10] have upgraded touch-screen technology with various accessible interaction techniques (e.g., Apple’s Voice Over, SlideRule [7], No-Look Notes [1]).
Instead of adding accessibility to the finished product, this study has initially designed a binary structure ballot interface, EZ Ballot prototype. After the formative study, a random structure ballot, Quick Ballot prototype, has been designed. Both prototypes are touch screen-based and each ballot provides unique selection and navigation methods, the essential elements of interacting with a ballot interface.
