Algae extracts were tested for their scavenging activity against the stable free radical DPPH by spectrophotometrically. The values in percentage of inhibition of DPPH scavenging activities of the algal extracts were summarized in Tables 1 Nostochopsis spp. revealed the maximum (71.60±0.56) extent of DPPH scavenging activity by the methanolic and ethanolic. The average values and statistical analysis of all samples from all sites showed antioxidant activity. The ethanolic fraction was found to contain active antioxidant properties as shown by their % radical 67.81-71.60. The highest value, 71.60 was observed in site 3. Whereas, the lowest value, 67.81was observed in the site 1. And the methanolic fraction was found to contain active antioxidant properties as shown by their % radical 66.13-71.12. The highest value, 71.12. was observed in site 3. Whereas, the lowest value, 66.13 was observed in the site 4. Statistical analysis showed that total % radical was not significantly among the site.
