In the current work, we have created a single-layer structure of
cobalt hydroxide nanoparticles at the surface of carbon ceramic
electrode by a simple electrochemical method. The proposed
electrode showed good sensitivity and a low detection limit for
insulin determination. This sensor offers attractive properties such
as high stability, reproducibility, and high selectivity for insulin
detection in the presence of interfering compounds. The modified
electrode was successfully used toward insulin determination in
the blood serum sample with good accuracy and precision.
