Dear K.Bee,
As we've discussed by phone call. Please kindly try find an answer (or at least any information you can provide) regarding the Dielines and the printer spec info as our customer question on below. It's purpose for our customer to begin to working with New product item artwork which is I've pre-notice to you.
Customer Question :
We have a couple of questions on the printer spec form:
• Can you have them confirm that the amount of bleed necessary, is correct—it is currently indicated as .2" which is more than the typical amount needed
• What version of Illustrator should the files be provided in?
• The minimum dot is listed at 72%, which is abnormally high—can you please have them confirm if that is correct—standard amount is 0-5% for Litho.
• Can you also inquire about what their dot gain on press, is?
Explanation from our US staff :
For the dielines, they need a vector file (eps file preferred) that matches the measurements they were given (I do not know what they were given originally). The scale on the provided file needs to be at 100%, state the dimensions of the carton and indicated (if applicable) the live area as well as where the lot/date code should go and any glue areas or no/ink/no varnish areas.
For the printer spec form, they wanted to confirm the bleed is 0.2” as they said it is more than the standard amount. For Litho printing what is the minimum dot amount? They said it should be between 0-5% not 72% (I am not familiar with this). Lastly the dot gain on press – what is it (I am not familiar with this either).
Due to it's very specific knowledge. I try to summarized the sentence which is I think it's exactly what they want. If I miss anything or the question wasn't clear enough. Please feel free to let me know ka.
