3.7. Confirmation – perceived usefulness
Bhattacherjee (2001a) claims that the users’ confirmation of
their initial expectations of a technology is an important precursor
to their perceived usefulness beliefs. The concept of confirmation
represents the degree to which the systems meet the users’ expectations. Bhattacherjee (2001a) defines perceived usefulness as the
users’ perception of the expected benefits of using an IS, which
reflects their post-adoption expectations. If the expectations are
confirmed, the perceived usefulness will be established accordingly. Hence, the following hypothesis is stated:
H7. The teachers’ extent of confirmation will have a positive effect
on perceived usefulness.
