As antioxidants in oxygen scavenge peroxyl radicals their effect on chemiluminescence e temperature patterns may be of importance. As evidenced by the sharp increase in CL intensity just before the ramp temperature, sample RK43 appears to be more stabilized than RK27 and RK22. Maximum chemiluminescence intensity from
polyethylene samples (RK24 and RK25) increases with temperature, which is likely due to the consumption of the stabilizing system. The highest CL intensities observed were from polypropylene(RK27) and the lowest from polyisobutylene (RK22)(Table 1).
