Grammatical competence can be helpful in producing accurate forms of language and acts in monitoring its use. However, one can communicate more or less a message with vocabulary items alone while it is impossible to do so using grammar alone.In addition, language use can be tremendously affected by conscious language usage as this may create a stressful environment. In general, research indicates that a combination of form and meaning may be the best teaching approach. This is 'principled communicative approach.' that students should learn grammar explicitly but should also be given the opportunity to practice them icommunicative authentic and simulated tasks.
