In 1938 as the company founder Mila Opitz first began to manufacture and sell a biological face cream no one had any idea that she was laying the basis for the impressive career of this Swiss cosmetic company.
The customer focus of the company management lay chiefly on beauty salons and cosmetic schools. Here under the brand name "Milopa" the products had their main sales growth. In 1965 the now significantly grown family company re-organised itself into M. Opitz + Co. AG marketing under the name Mila d’Opiz.
An own Research and Development facility coupled with more technically competent chemical / technical and pharmaceutical ingredients enabled M. Opitz + Co. AG to expand into important international markets and to carefully build its overseas presence.
The comprehensive Mila d’Opiz product line now numbers about 400 different articles. Mila d’Opiz, represented in 42 countries on five continents, is known for being a modern, effective cosmetic capable of supporting natural skin care and delaying the onset of aging.
Along with the production of its own beauty products under the name Mila d’Opiz the company, M. Opitz + Co. AG, with its excellent Swiss quality control and safety standards, is well qualified to offer itself as a manufacturer and filler of other cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.
In order to document and secure its high quality practices M. Opitz + Co. AG was the first Swiss cosmetic company in 1994 to qualify for the international Quality Standard ISO 9001 - Rev.
