Linear low-density polyethylene
(LLDPE) matrix based active nanocomposite films were
prepared with addition of the active nanoclay particles using a high
shear force twin-screw extruder attached to the blow-molding
apparatus. Active nanocomposite packaging could maintain fresh
meat color up to 4 days storage period preventing the surface offcolor.
Proliferation of TMAB, LAB and TYM in the Turkish sliced
sucuk samples was suppressed by vacuum packaging application
with active nanocomposite films during storage for 30 days.
