: the summer vacation I went to Russia. I had to go cave exploring Kamchatka Ice Cave. It’s in an Area of northern Russia. Known for an abundance of precipitation the area is often covered in several meters of snow and ice that cover mountain streams like this creating vast caves that look like something out of a science fiction movie. It was formed by a stream flowing from the hot springs associated with the Mutnovsky volcano . This stream flows beneath glacial ice on the flanks of Mutnovsky. Because glaciers on Kamchatka volcanoes have been melting in recent years, the roof of this cave is now so thin that sunlight penetrates through it, eerily illuminating the icy structures within. Inside the cave is very cold and and the colour of the ceiling ice against sunlight is beautiful. But the fire in it quite difficult because it was pretty cold and wet inside and the water was flowing down from the roof and walls. It is a trip that was fun.
