Increase in ‘disposable income’ followed by ‘growing family needs’ like working
partner, ‘increasing family size’ and the ‘road infrastructure’ were reported the
reasons/motives of buying a car by the sampled car owners. And major part of the
sampled car buyers used equated monthly installment (EMI) while purchasing
their cars as ‘occupation’ and the ‘level of income’ of the car buyers’
demographics influenced their payment method preference.
