Dear Khun Samanong,
After further review of all associated costs for the current offshore insulation and the decrease expected in the volume of work in the next 3 year period we are not in a position to reduce the costs any further that the 5% agreed prior to the contract award. If the volume of work was seen to increase then this would give us more opportunity for reductions based on being able to cover our indirect fixed costs better.
In regards to your response below I understand your position but I was led to believe that at least the scaffolding services we covered by a contractor and not Chevron core crew which was why I enquired in the possibility of submitting a quotation for this.
At present I am looking into possible options for mobilisation of materials which could possibly result in a transportation price reduction but as of today I cannot confirm this as we CAPEX is required and approval which will not be considered until next year.
I hope you appreciate our position.
Kind regards
Spencer
