Total Quality Maintenance (TQMain) can be defined as a maintenance policy that emphasises more on the
intensive use of the real-time data acquisition and continuous analysis to detect causes of failure, and to change the
machine condition according to the data to control damage at a very early stage so as to provide a quality product
to a customer at the right time. Sherwin (2000) pointed out that its managerial model for maintenance specifically
focuses on inspection and monitoring policies. In this policy, the stress is providing an Overall Process Effectiveness
(OPE) instead of Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by a common database, which is the integration of all the
relevant databases (Al-Najjar 1997, 1999).
