The Muan Chon, Prachakorn Thai and Rassadorn Parties.
For the leader of the Muan Chon Party, Pol. Capt. Chalerm Yubamrung, the September election was seen as his last chance to retrieve his reputation. Hunted out of the country and accused of plotting against the government by the NPKC, deemed to be "unusually wealthy" and defeated in the March elections, the colourful Chalerm vowed to fight on, declaring that his party was ready for the opposition or the government benches. Always a small party, Muan Chon had been reduced to one seat in March, and Chalerm's re-entry into politics was seen as a bid for personal honour rather than a serious attempt to build the party's strength. With none of his former flamboyance and aggressiveness, Chalerm became a humble man, literally begging voters to grant him a new lease on political life.
