The sample was selected by stratified random sampling based on industry, size and public
status, among companies with 100 employees or more in the KIS database. The managers and
employees were randomly selected by the survey team. All of the selected companies and 92
per cent of selected employees participated in the survey (KRIVET, 2007). A total of 454
managers and 13,101 employees were surveyed using a self-report form. In each company, 3–92 employees (29 on average) completed the survey.
