The Hubble went into space in 1995, and had to be repaired in 1996. It then began to send back many photographs, undistorted by the atmosphere. Since that time, we have found way to correct the defects caused by the atmosphere of the photographs taken from the Earth. Now we can take photographs from Earth that are going to be 100 to 1,000 times more powerful than the Hubble telescope itself! It’s theoretically possible that within just a few years, we will be able to see the beginning of the universe with photographs taken from Earth!
