5. Conclusions
The results presented in this report provide some support for the adoption of a proactive approach to OSH management. They support the premise that where organisations are proactive in OSH management, their employees may value this and view it as part of perceived organisational support. These effects may be felt more widely for the organisation, with established links in the literature between both organisational attitudes and safety climate and a number of indices which have ‘bottom line’ implications for employers such as sickness absence and work related injuries.
