Watts and Linden reported that more OH can be produced in
UV/chlorine process compared with UV/H2O2 process because the
molar absorptivity and quantum yield of HOCl are higher than
those of H2O2 [17]. Recently, a few research groups focused on
the study of kinetic models for UV/chlorine system [13,18]. As
the mechanisms of UV/chlorine process remain poorly defined,
we devoted to establish a kinetic model in this research to describe
the kinetic behaviors in UV/chlorine process.
