Thermal transition behavior of the PLA matrix was studied using a TA Instruments 2920 modulated differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), equipped with a cooling attachment, under nitrogen atmosphere from 25 to 260 oC at a constant heating rate of 5 oC/min. Thermal properties of PLA, PALF and their composites were studied using a Mettler Toledo TGA/SDTA851e, at a heating rate of 10 oC/min, under nitrogen atmosphere, from 25 to 600 oC. Morphology of fiber surface, fiber fractured surface, and composite fractured surface were investigated using a SEM, JSM-5410LV, Jeol Co., Ltd.
