The right to education is a universally
recognised human right and
a prerequisite for sustainable development
and prosperity. Together
with UNICEF we initiated the All
for Children project in 2009. All for
Children is a unique collaboration
through which we support UNICEF
in cotton-growing areas in India and
in urban slum areas in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
The goal is to protect the
right to education as well as other
basic rights of some of the world’s
poorest children. Our initial goal
was to empower 1.7 million children
through preschool and primary
education, health and child protection
structures by 2018 at the latest.
The H&M Conscious Foundation
took over the project at the end of
2014 and will continue to support
the project with UNICEF until 2018. By 2014, the All for Children project
had reached out to more than 1.7
million children in the Tamil Nadu
province in the southern part of
India and in the poorer communities
of Dhaka.
