• Extending the Reach of e-Services
To extend the reach of Government e-services,
several initiatives are recommended under
the Access for All programme. Firstly, the
Committee recommends that the Government
capitalises on Singapore’s high mobile phone
penetration rate by making its services available
over the mobile channel. Secondly, the
Government will set up infocomm facilities
with dedicated service staff in the form of
CitizenConnect centres in neighbourhood
Community Clubs to reach those without
Internet access from home or need help to
transact electronically. Lastly, publicity
programmes will be put in place to raise
customers’ awareness of available e-services
so that they can easily recall which service to
use when they need them.
