What will be the processes to create cohesiveness with the other departments in the company?In other words,how can you come up with a strategic plan and creative methods to create “team cohesiveness” in the company as well as to minimise the “Functional Silo Problem” in the company? Please explain in full details,given the time period of 3 months to resolves the problem.
Functional silo problem is happen when the company that want to create a team and brings members from different function unit/department to work together,with a positive combination of functional expertise and integrative team thinking.We can see Silo’s when department information and knowledge are sealed off from other
departments,workers do not talk to people outside their department,The department does not offer to help or share resources with other parts of the organization and the department only focuses on achieving their work goals even at the detriment of other work units and the organization as a whole.The effect of this problem is ‘Self-Inflicted’
To create team cohesiveness I have to make a strategic plan for them and I can divide the plan for 3 months.At first months I plan to make them be more recognize when they work together by I will establish the mission for them to do.I want to ask them try to work together and I have to encourage trust, create empowerment, and break managers out of the “my department” mentality and into the “our organization” mentality.Like when people in different department are have different ideas to do work and they are have their own ego to work with another department but if they try to work together maybe it hard to communicate with another however it can exchange thinking and they can study from the mission.When we have the mission we have to look for diversity. The most successful teams require diversity. Diverse teams have access to many people with varying skills and experiences. A diverse group will be able to pull from all these experiences in order to achieve the mission.When we have ‘mission’ we should have ‘goal’ I will practice my teamwork. Team-building exercises are the best way to see how individual members will work together to accomplish a goal
