The collection for each day were dried in a forced aircirculation
oven at 60oC. The samples of each replicate
were allowed to cool in a glass desiccator to prevent
further absorption of moisture from the atmosphere. The
4 days samples were pooled, ground and then analyzed
for crude protein, crude fibre, either extract and total ash
according to the method of AOAC (1980) (Table V).
Statistical analysis: Data collected were subjected to
analysis of variance and the means were separated
using Duncan‘s Multiple Range Test as described by
Steel and Torrie (1980).
