I. OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION
1. Responsible for the evaluation and monitoring on the physico-chemical and sensory characteristics of water (raw, in-process, CIP, utility and process water); and sampling for microbiological analysis of this water.
2. Responsible for the in-process beverage and finished products testing with reference to standards and specifications.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conducts the following activities:
a. Water (raw, in-process, CIP, utility and process water) sampling and analyses.
b. Checks water treatment operators results.
c. Checks compliance to sanitation requirements before any beverage preparation and product runs.
d. In-line beverage testing.
e. Full goods testing before product release.
2. Informs immediately superiors and concerned personnel for non-conformances and that require immediate corrective action.
3. Properly turnover to the next shift any quality data or issues from the previous shift.
4. Conducts auxiliary material (cleaning/sanitation chemicals, filter media and test reagents, etc.) acceptance.
5. Assists QA Technician – Microbiologist on sampling and microbiological analysis of water (raw, in-process, CIP, utility and process water) when need arises.
6. Conducts routine laboratory equipment calibration before use.
7. Maintains accurate records of laboratory water, in-process, product analyses, chemical preparations and calibrations of laboratory equipment.
8. Summarizes data for management review.
9. Prepares standardize solutions and indicators needed for laboratory analyses.
10. Prepares requisition of laboratory consumables to maintain established inventory level.
11. Checks glass facilities, equipment and glass wares regularly for any damage
12. Conducts products trade sampling as need arises.
13. Participates in intra-laboratory proficiency testing on identified critical parameters to assure confidence and integrity of results.
14. Participates in sensory evaluation of products.
15. Document testing procedures and work instructions.
16. Practices proper conduct and discretion in handling confidential information.
17. Follows/observes company rules and regulations concerning :
• Attendance and Employee Conduct
• Safety and Security
• GMP/Housekeeping
18. Performs administrative and technical paper works or attends to other job related matters that may be assigned by QA Supervisor and QA Manager.
