Both TEP and TEPE programmes are international programmes of the Faculty of Engineering with 5 core majors which are Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The programmes require all students to study engineering in English. The programmes are very competitive as applicants need to meet requirements of academic record and English proficiency. TEP or Twinning Engineering Programmes was founded in 1996 as an academic joint of faculty of engineering, Thammasat University and the University of Nottingham, England. Students in this programme study at Thammasat University's Rangsit Campus for the first two years and other two years at the University of Nottingham. We call this 2+2 scheme. Moreover, since 2006, the programme has included University of New South Wales, Australia, into its partnership. TEPE is a bit different as the students take all courses at Rangsit campus. Therefore, it offers same quality of education at much lower cost." Assistant Professor Thira Jearsiripongkul, programmes director of TEP and TEPE, Faculty of Engineering, Thammmasat University, explained about international engineering programmes.
