THE BIG TEST I HOPE I DON’T FAIL!!

I have a HUGE social studies test tomorrow and I’m totally freaking out!

My teacher JUST told us about it today, so we don’t really have a ton of time to study for it.

She was all like, “If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll pass with flying colors.”

I totally MEANT to pay attention! And I did…on SOME days. But the other day I got distracted.

And by distracted, I mean I spent a lot of class drawing Halloween tattoo designs in my notebook.

I can’t help that I’m enthusiastic about holidays and art!! And it’s not MY fault that I doodle sometimes. It’s the people who sell those super cool multicolor pens. They were SO obviously made for doodling!

Yeah, OK, I admit it…it’s my fault for not paying attention. Dang it! I REALLY don’t want to take this test!

I considered whipping up a batch of fake vomit so I could just avoid the whole thing, but tomorrow’s Friday, and it’s never a good idea to pretend to be sick going into the weekend.

Last time, I tried to convince my mom I had an 8-hour bug so I’d be totally okay to sleep over Zoey’s house on Friday night. But she was all, “What kind of mother would I be if I exposed you to other kids when you could be contagious?”

(Note to self: Next time pretend to have a nasty headache. NO ONE catches a headache from someone else!!)

Anyways, back to my point…I have to go to school tomorrow, and I’m TOTALLY terrified of failing this test!

Here’s what I think I’m going to do:

Hop on Skype for an EMERGENCY cramming session with Chloe and Zoey.

They both take pretty awesome notes, like I usually do, so I’m sure they’ll be able to help me cram!

I’ll get Chloe to make an outline, and Zoey can make flash cards.

Make a song out of the facts.

I’m REALLY bad at remembering dates and stuff, but it’s so much easier when you make a song with all the important facts.

So let’s say I needed to remember that Brianna broke her arm at this barbecue at my Dad’s friend’s house on June 5th, 2010 (Don’t ask me why I’d ever need to memorize that!!! Just pretend!)

I could make a song to the tune of Row Row Row Your Boat that went like this, “Brianna broke her arm around a lot of men. It was such a sad time on June 5th 2010.”

Great idea, right?!

Dream about the test material.

I’ve never actually done this before, but I’m going to try this time!

I was thinking maybe if I recorded myself singing the study songs I come up with, I could listen to them while I’m falling asleep. Then maybe I’ll dream about all the study material.

That’s EIGHT WHOLE HOURS of studying. Surely that’s enough to make up for ONE LITTLE day of not paying attention!

Do you have any ideas to study for a test last minute?? Oh, and wish me luck tomorrow. I need all the luck I can get!!
