TO effectively deploy the WLAN in the indoor environment,
the proper site survey is required.
In the working conditions,
the client connects to the access point needs to pass through some certain barriers which can significantly degrade the signal quality.
Regularly,
the most concerning value used for site survey relies on the RSSI value.
Users normally concern about the throughput at the application layer level, not the RSSI value. IN this paper, the RSSI value and its corresponding throughput have been studied. The test is performed on the IEEE 802.11ac. The results show that with quite the same RSSI values, the throughput might be quite different This can lead' to the better ways to perform the site survey and access point installation.
