VI. IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF MARKOV STATES
A formal determination of the probabilities of the various
states of the proposed Markov model is not possible because
some of the data (in particular and ) are currently difficult
to estimate with a reasonable amount of accuracy. Numerous
methods can be used to estimate these data, some of
which are discussed in SectionVII. In this section, the process of
impact assessment of the Markov states is demonstrated, which
relies on power system model simulations. For this purpose, the
IEEE 24-bus Reliability Test System is selected as a test example
