b. Screwdriver
Screwdrivers are designed solely for exerting the twisting or turning force required to insert or remove screws and other slotted fasteners.
Basic Safety Rules For Using Screwdriver
1. Make sure that the tip fits the slot of the screw; not too loose and not too tight.
2. Do not use a screwdriver as a cold chisel or punch.
3. Do not use a screwdriver near live wires (or any other tool, for that matter).
4. Do not expose a screwdriver to excessive heat.
5. Redress a worn tip with a file in order to regain a good straight edge.
6. Discard a screwdriver that has a worn or broken handle.
7. A screwdriver should never be used as a pry bar. If it is over-stressed in this manner,
the blade might break and send a particle of steel into the operator's arm or perhaps
even into his eye.
c. Pipe wrench
Hook-jaw types
• Pipe wrench, Hook-jaw types has adjustable parallel jaws with teeth for gripping. Used to assemble and disassemble pipes. Should only be used on round objects. Wrench functions best when the bite is taken midway up the jaw teeth.
There are three important points to remember when using hook-jaw pipe wrenches:
1. Select the proper-size wrench for the job.
2. Be certain that only the toothed portions of the jaws touch the pipe.
3. Pull the handle only in the proper direction.
d. Prier
Locking pliers are considerably more complex than ordinary slip-joint pliers. The jaws are specially hinged to lock in place when the handles are squeezed together. Once locked on work, the pliers will not let go until either the release lever at the base of one of the handles is pressed against the handle or, on locking pliers without a release lever, the handles are forced apart. Locking pliers are used wherever a positive grip is required and the object to be held is already damaged or will not be affected by the serrated jaws.
e. Socket wrench
