2.4. Sample inoculation and treatments
Cilantro samples with 100 g were submerged into 500 ml of the suspension of E. Coli O78 for 30 min. After removal from the inoculums, the cilantro samples were dried at room temperature, and then stored at 37 °C for 12 h. These operations were all performed in a bio-safety cabinet under sterile conditions.
