The objective of the enterprise is to reduce by 2010 its impact on
climate change by 10% in terms of the CO2 from all its direct and
indirect activities.
Direct activities are those over which Tetra Pak has managerial
control (the consumption of necessary resources for
a productive process like production of raw materials and
consumption of energy, direct emissions in the atmosphere from
the productive cycle, etc); indirect activities are those related to
activities, products and services in Tetra Pak’s supply chain that
can have an impact on the environment, but of which Tetra Pak
does not have full managerial control (transport of raw materials
and services) [28].
