As described by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
(IPCC, 2007), the expected increase in the atmospheric CO2 concentration
by the end of this century may enhance photosynthesis in
C3 plants. This increase in photosynthesis by elevated CO2 leads to
the enhancement of dry weight (DW) (Drake et al., 1997) (Table 1).
Our data revealed that, after 2 weeks of elevated CO2 treatment,
there were no significant differences in biomass production associated
with N or CO2 levels. Interestingly, elevated CO2 did not
