INTRODUCTION
"Management Information Systems" is a specialized core course in university management classes. It is a comprehensive
course both theoretical and practical also is "bridge" course between management science and information technology. The course is of marginal, cross-disciplinary nature, and the learning process is a combination of concepts and methods of
management science, computer science, communications technology, systems science and other subjects. Due to the
high-span, wide-coverage, Theory-demanding, highly-practical character of its contents, this course requires students to master not only the theoretical knowledge of management information systems, but also the ability to applying it in practice. In traditional teaching process, we always center teachers, mainly teachers teaching, students receiving, overlook students' role as a cognitive subject in the mean time. This often led to low interest, a lack of initiative, low efficiency of students in learning process. Therefore, in order to achieve better teaching effect, the reform of course teaching is imperative. "Task-driven" approach is a model of driving teaching by way of accomplishment of task, it enables students to have fun in every accomplishment of task through progressive task arrangement which fully and effectively improves students’ interest in learning, and enhances their hands-on ability. Through deep research into the course of "management information system", using "task-driven" teaching method in teaching process, a great deal of practice and innovation taking, we achieve certain effect in teaching, also propose further thinking to improve this teaching method.
