DPPH radical-scavenging activities (%) of crude methanolic
extract and subfractions are presented in Fig. 6. In the present
study, higher DPPH radical-scavenging activity was
recorded in the F1 fraction (70.44%) followed by the DCM
(69.62%) and F6 (64.96%) fractions. The scavenging effect
of standards on the DPPH radical decreased in the order:
BHT> ascorbic acid >gallic acid, which was 69.27%,
57.28% and 55.75%, respectively.
