The content of five crude SMP samples were 14.48 g/100 g d.b. for SMP-Fresh, 12.66 g/100 g d.b. for SMP-HAD, 13.60 g/100 g d.b. for SMP-VD, 10.57 g/100 g d.b. for SMP-MD and 13.32 g/100 g d. b. for SMP-MVD. VD and MVD was significantly (p < 0.05) better than the other methods in preserving soluble polysaccharide content
